There is probably a phobia for everything. It’s a little unusual, but a video on YouTube shows one woman freaking the freak out as tumbleweeds roll across the highway. Eventually her boyfriend comes to the rescue, but not until a minute and a half of pure internet video gold. Tumbleweeds might seem silly, but we all have some kind of irrational fear, right?
For instance, it can be pretty adorable when kids think their own shadow is a boogie man out to get them, but it’s also a real, albeit somewhat weird fear for adults, called “sciaphobia”. Lucky for you, it’s not all that common.
But the number one thing most people fear? Other people. Then it’s animals, heights, public places, and confined places, in order of worst to not-so-worse.
But none of those are quite as odd as the woman scared of tumbleweeds. That was like a Springer episode, where people are afraid of stuff like mustard or feathers. Which makes for a pretty interesting question for our Man on the Edge to ask…
