Waxhaw’s 125th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate Waxhaw’s 125th Quasquicentennial Anniversary with your family! On March 7th, beginning at 5pm, downtown Waxhaw is set to party like it’s 1889! Take a guided tour of the downtown, by horse drawn carriage! Play children’s games, circa 1889. Feast your eyes on an astounding custom cake exhibit that tributes Waxhaw’s famous landmarks! Bump into President Andrew Jackson or other pedestrians from different historic periods. Make a Waxhaw-centric craft, find a great deal, eat a fine meal and get your old time photo made. At 6pm, the leaders of Waxhaw will kick-off a year of celebration atop Waxhaw’s overhead bridge. There will be so many opportunities to make a family memory, learn local history and have a grand time as Waxhaw goes back to 1889 on March 7th!
