CHARLOTTE, NC– It’s been one week since the town of Huntersville was shaken by it’s first homicide in two years, and the suspects are still on the loose. It’s a reality that has residents on edge.
Last Wednesday, 19-year-old Peter Jordan was shot and killed at the Landings at Northcross apartments, located off Sam Furr Road near Birkdale Village. Investigators say they are looking for three to four black males that were seen leaving the apartment complex in a black Chevrolet Impala. So far, no arrests have been made.
Residents like Barbara Jolly says she is nervous and wants some answers. She moved out of her apartment near the shooting location on Monday. She says while she doesn’t want anything to hurt the investigation, she doesn’t want to be left in the dark. “Are there any clues? Is this just going to go away? Have they not found the person? Is the person coming back here? Does he have more enemies out here? We are all nervous,” says Jolly.
WCCB reached out to Huntersville Police. They say at this point, there is no new information or any new developments in the case that they can share.
