Students Treated At Quail Hollow Middle School Due To Irritant

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Eleven students at Quail Hollow Middle School in South Charlotte were treated Wednesday afternoon after they felt sick on the school’s football field.

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg School spokesman said that Charlotte firefighters were called to the school around 12:30pm.

Firefighters checked for a gas leak and other possible hazards but did not find anything. All of the students were from the same class and claimed to have difficulty breathing.

There’s no word yet on why they did not feel well.
