CHATSWORTH, GA – Was it a sign from above or just luck when David Greeson won the Georgia lottery using numbers that remind him of his late wife? Greeson says he has been playing those numbers, his wife’s birth date and the month and date they were married, every day since she passed 3 months ago.
Kathy, Greeson’s wife, died within a couple of weeks of being diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. Greeson says his wife loved to travel and he wants to use his winnings to go back to the places where they created so many memories.
Greeson says the money is a nice bonus, but ultimately, the jackpot was matching those number. “I hope it’s a sign from her that she’s ok,” said Greeson.
