Police: Two-Year-Old Taken From Home With Active Meth Lab

LANCASTER, S.C. — A call to police in reference to a man overdosing ended up with the discovery of an active meth lab in Lancaster.ย 

Detectives say officers responded to a home on Crestfield Drive in reference to a man who was unconscious.ย  Once they arrived on the scene, they realized there was an active meth lab in the home.ย 

The man was taken to a local hospital and is in serious condition.ย  Police arrested Christy Knight.ย  They say she had her two-year-old son inside the home.ย 

The child was decontaminated and taken by the Department of Social Services.ย 

Knight has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and exposing a child to methamphetamine.ย  Additional charges are expected.ย
