LANCASTER, S.C. — A call to police in reference to a man overdosing ended up with the discovery of an active meth lab in Lancaster.Β
Detectives say officers responded to a home on Crestfield Drive in reference to a man who was unconscious.Β Once they arrived on the scene, they realized there was an active meth lab in the home.Β
The man was taken to a local hospital and is in serious condition.Β Police arrested Christy Knight.Β They say she had her two-year-old son inside the home.Β
The child was decontaminated and taken by the Department of Social Services.Β
Knight has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and exposing a child to methamphetamine.Β Additional charges are expected.Β
