Zell or Zilch: Modern Twist to Tradition Cleaning Supplies

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kristine’s testing out the products so you don’t have to!

In this edition of Zell or Zilch, she’s taking a look at traditional cleaning items that have a modern twist to them.

The first is the Hurricane Mop – you’ve probably seen it on late-night infomercials. The micro-fiber mop has a rolling bucket attached to it and uses spin technology. You just step on the pedal to wring out the gunk. If you like a heavy duty mop, it costs $40 at Bed, Bath and Beyond. It gets a “Meh.”

Next, the Airram Vacuum Cleaner is cordless and only weighs 7 pounds! It’s great for stairs and steers easily. You don’t have to deal with emptying the bag or wrapping the cord up. It even comes with a USB plug to calculate the electricity costs that you’ve saved. You can also track the calories you’ve burned while cleaning! But you do pay for quality – it costs $350. It’s a Zell!
