rkerwin@adventurelanding.com The 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck is Back in Charlotte and Hosted by Adventure Landing Sunday, April 6th – 12:00pm to 5:00pm (The Queen City‘s Premier Event will Benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte) Charlotte, NC – Sunday, April 6th – For the 3rd year, Adventure Landing will transform its parking lot into a premier showcase of over 75 big trucks and favorite vehicles for kids young and old to see, touch, and explore. Vehicles on display include a Nascar racecar, the Charlotte Police Department S.W.A.T. “Bear” and S.W.A.T. “Gladiator” vehicles, the Queen City helicopter (with helicopter rides available, weather permitting) 4,000 gallon water truck from Hoopaugh Grading, fire trucks, police cars, medic emergency vehicles, yellow cabs, a WKKT live satellite News Truck, McGirt dump trucks, limo bus from Rose Transportation, and many more! This special community event will provide families the opportunity to learn about and explore all of these unique vehicles and public safety equipment. At Touch a Truck, kids get a chance to get behind the wheel and rub elbows with their hometown heroes. Something new this year, we are adding a stage on the back picnic area inside the park. We will have performers and dancers, etc… in 30 minute spots. There will be some local business partners at tables to give you information about their businesses. Face-painting & clowns with balloons will be at the park also for your enjoyment. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras as there will be many photo opportunities! The event is free, but a suggested donation for RMH of Charlotte is suggested. Parking is $1 or a can of food for the St. Matthew‘s Foodbank. Adventure Landing‘s Touch a Truck and its sponsors are partnered with the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte to raise money for this important organization. The primary goal of the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte is to provide families a safe, comfortable and supportive environment while their children receive medical treatment at nearby medical facilities. The event is asking for a $5.00 donation per person or $20.00 per family to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. $1.00 donation or can of food for St. Matthews Food Pantry. Helicopter rides are available for a fee. ### Adventure Landing, is headquartered in Jacksonville Beach, FL. and consists of eighteen family entertainment centers around the country. Each captures the audience of families, teens and groups of all nature. Adventure Landing parks offer a combination of family fun attractions including video games, go-karts, laser tag, miniature golf courses, batting cages, birthday parties, corporate team building and group events.
