
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An 11-year-old boy has passed away after jumping in a creek Thursday night behind Marie G. Davis Middle School in South Charlotte. That’s according to Carolinas Medical Center. A second child is still in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to authorities, they responded to the water rescue around 8 p.m. Thursday. Upon arrival, the children were found in a creek behind the middle school off of Griffith Street. Medic performed CPR on the children before transporting them to CMC.
