GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — The Gaston County Police Department introduced the newest member of the department, police K-9 Cena, this month.Β
Cena is a 16-month-old German Shepherd.Β Cena was trained in Florida and was paired with his handler, Officer R.L. Waldrop.Β
Cena and Officer Waldrop then completed a 240 hour in-house training program.Β Cena has already located a stolen gun from a breaking and entering case near Dallas and located numerous illegal drugs on traffic stops.Β
