ROCKWELL, N.C. — Police say they arrested a man for knocking down an elderly woman and stomping her head with his foot.ย
Investigators say 49-year-old Jimmy Ray Blackwell told the woman he was a Bondsman and wanted to search her house for someone.ย When the victim refused, he assaulted her and took her mobile phone.ย
Blackwell was arrested a short time later.ย Police say he has a lengthy criminal history that dates back to 1981.ย He is currently in the Rowan County Jail under a $25,000 bond.ย
