Rock Hill Father Arrested for Injuring Infant

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A Rock Hill father is behind bars and charged with unlawful neglect of a child after authorities say he dropped his baby on the edge of a bed frame.

Deputies say on Saturday around 12 p.m., a Department of Social Services caseworker notified authorities that a child was brought into Piedmont Medical Center for suspicious injuries.

During the investigation, the mother of the girl says when she got in the shower, her daughter was laying in her bassinet. She says when she got out of the shower she heard the baby crying from the other room. The mother said that when she entered the bedroom, the child’s father, Bryan George, had picked her up and was calming her. The mother says she then went to warm a bottle and returned to the room. The father said that the child had spit up at which time the mother turned the light on and noticed a pool of blood on the father’s chest.

The child was transported to Piedmont Medical Center where she was admitted for a broken arm and fractured leg.

Bryan George was arrested and charged with unlawful neglect of a child and is currently behind bars.
