Two Teens Arrested in Northeast Charlotte Deadly Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old are accused of stealing cars and robbing four people before killing a man in the University area.

Investigators say 16-year-old Randy Lloyd and another teen shot and killed 44-year-old Ronald Gullette at his home on Hemby Woods Drive on Sunday. 

The shooting happened around 10 a.m. Police say the crime spree started hours before when the teens were accused of carjacking two drivers at gunpoint and robbing a jogger.

Randy Lloyd turned himself into authorities on Monday. He is charged with murder, attempted robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery. A teenage girl is charged with obstruction. Police do not believe the teenage girl is connected to the robberies and homicide.
