Β CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Β The Charlotte music scene has a number of bands from different genres performing around the city and surrounding regiion. Β Michael Tracy has been an integral part of this scene for many years.
Β Β Β Last year, he created the Music Matinee as a way to showcase local and regional bands. Β What started as a small venture has grown in its second year with more bands and a larger audience already buying tickets. Β
Β Β Β This year’s event will be Sunday, April 13th at Amos’ Southend and it is special because part of the proceeds from the showcase will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project.
Β Β Β I was able to catch up with Michael at his band’s studio to discuss his vision for the Music Matinee and the joy he gets from doing charitable work.
