CHARLOTTE, NC — New Charlotte mayor Dan Clodfelter is diving right into the daunting task of helping the city move one from the Patrick Cannon scandal. The mayor met with Governor McCrory Thursday afternoon at the Government Center. They focused on the issues ahead for the Queen City, and how to move past the Cannon scandal.
“There’s going to be some pain as we go through this process of examining what happened as more facts come out,” said Governor McCrory. “But at the same time, I think Dan and I also have to re-pivot and look to how to move Charlotte forward.”
Clodfelter and McCrory are old friends from their days on Charlotte City Council, and time in Raleigh.
