As if we really need to label various modes of snuggling, the cuddle proper is really all that matters. Body contact in the form of cuddling is what makes a relationship strong, according to new research.
Studies have shown that it’s better for one’s health if couples sleep in separate beds. But there is a new one that completely contradicts that theory. It states that couples who sleep together–close together, like less than an inch apart–are the happiest couples. A survey of 1,000 couples found that those who conjoined during sleep were 86 percent more likely to report satisfaction in their relationship, compared to 66 percent for those who slept 30 inches or more apart. Evidently, touching throughout the night is imperative to a fulfilling relationship.
