UNDATED (AP) — The Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, Washington Wizards and Portland Trail Blazers were yesterday’s NBA playoff winners. LeBron James had 27 points in the Heat’s 99-88 win Charlotte, and the Spurs rallied from a 10-point, fourth-quarter deficit to knock off Dallas 90-85. The Wizards erased a 13-point deficit in beating the Bulls 102-93 in Chicago, and Portland earned a 122-120 overtime win at Houston after trailing by 13 in the fourth quarter.

UNDATED (AP) — The Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins have squared their Stanley Cup first-round series at a game apiece by winning yesterday. Luke Schenn scored the game-winner in the second period of the Flyers’ 4-2 comeback win over the New York Rangers, and Justin Florek and Reilly Smith scored 3:07 apart to give the Bruins a 2-0 lead midway through the first period of a 4-1 victory over Detroit. Montreal beat Tampa Bay 3-2 to take a three-games-to-none lead in that series, and the San Jose Sharks are up 2-0 in their series after tying a team playoff record for goals in a 7-2 pounding of Los Angeles.

CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook has been suspended for three games for his hit on Blues center David Backes (BAK’-ehs) during their first-round playoff series on Saturday. The NHL announced the punishment yesterday, Seabrook’s 29th birthday

LOS ANGELES (AP) — L.A. Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw threw a simulated game yesterday and reported no discomfort after topping out at 90 mph. Kershaw, who is on the disabled list for the first time in his seven-year career, threw a combined total of 50 pitches from the windup and from the stretch.

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) — Miguel Angel Jimenez is a winner in his first start on the Champions Tour, finishing two shots ahead of Bernhard Langer at the Greater Gwinnett Championship. Jimenez closed with a 67 for a 14-under total, becoming the third player to lead from start to finish in his debut on the 50-and-over tour. The win comes a week after he finished fourth in the Masters.
