ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police are investigating after a 4-year-old was hospitalized after he was strangled with a string by another child.
Detectives say they were called to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill after a woman reported the assault. The woman claims her roommate’s sister was babysitting her children while she worked third shift at her job.
The babysitting’s 9-year-old nephew was also at the home. Police say the babysitter saw the 9-year-old on top of the child, strangling him with a string. The victim’s mother claims she was not notified about the assault until the next morning.
The child had several red marks on his face. DSS is allegedly investigating. No arrests have been made at this time.
