CHARLOTTE N.C. — The Charlotte Cobras football team flew to NYC Wednesday morning to play the FDNY Bravest in the National Public Safety Football League (NPSFL). The team consists of CMPD officers, Charlotte Fire Department and members of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Chief Eddie Levins is the Head Coach for the Charlotte Cobras.
Each team in the NPSFL plays for a charity of its choice. The team members also volunteer in coaching and mentoring youth involved in the Police Activities League.
