CHARLOTTE, NC — The power of prayer drew a record crowd of more than 2,000 people to uptown Charlotte Thursday. The YMCA held its annual prayer breakfast at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The Charlotte tradition featured inspirational messages and music. Organizers say faith is at the heart of a strong community.
“We believe that prayer and praise is still at the heart of the Charlotte community, and it’s pretty representative with 2,200 people coming today,” said YMCA Communications Director Molly Thompson.
This is the YMCA’s 27th annual prayer breakfast.
