CHARLOTTE, N.C. — “From the Rough” tells the story of Catana Starks, the first African-American woman to coach an all-men’s golf team. One of Stark’s players tells the “true” Hollywood story.
Sam Puryear, current Queens University Director of Golf Operations, says Starks was a great motivator for the team, despite not knowing much about the sport.
He also shares how learning from Starks has helped him since his college days.
