Β CHARLOTTE, NC — Neighbors are concerned about a bus stop where a driver hit a CMS student waiting for his school bus Friday. Β The impact knocked the boy unconscious, but he is expected to be okay. Β The crash happened around 7:30am Friday at the intersection of Idlewild Road and Lailwood Circle. Β A woman who lives nearby says the boy was bleeding from his nose.
“I’ve seen a lot on this corner in 14 years,” said southeast Charlotte resident Debbie Swaney. Β “Cars, bad car wrecks. Β It always happens here at Little Mohser and Idlewild when they crash.”
Neighbors say the school bus stop should be moved back to its original location in the cul-de-sac. Β Police did not file charges against the driver involved in the accident.
