(AP) β Denny Hamlin has picked up his first career victory at a restrictor-plate track, grabbing the lead from Kevin Harvick and holding on when a late caution ended the race Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway. Hamlin picked up his first win of the season, which started with a second-place finish in the Daytona 500.
TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) β Danica Patrick took two big positives away from Talladega Superspeedway. Patrick drove up front six early laps Sunday, the first time she led a Sprint Cup race outside of Daytona. She also finished with her car mostly unscathed.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) β More than two years after going through brain surgery, J.B. Holmes is a winner again on the PGA Tour. Holmes rolled in a 3-foot bogey putt on the final hole at Quail Hollow for a 1-under 71 and a one-shot victory over Jim Furyk in the Wells Fargo Championship.
