STATESVILLE, N.C. — Police say they arrested a man for raping a woman behind a church in 2010. Β
Investigators say they responded to a church off Goldsboro Avenue on August 14th, 2010. Β The victim said she was assaulted and raped behind a church. Β She ran to a nearby home for help. Β
As the result of a lengthy follow up investigation, police were able to identify a suspect. Β On May 2nd, police obtained warrants for Scottie Davidson. Β
He has been charged with first degree rape and armed robbery. Β He was given a $1 million bond. Β
