
STALLINGS, N.C. — Wesley Baker, 26, and Henry Clyburn, 29, are being charged with 1st degree breaking and entering and 2nd degree kidnapping after a SWAT standoff on Aurora Boulevard.
The seven hour standoff ended around 5 a.m. Tuesday.
A home invasion was reported at 9 p.m. on Monday when officials got word that there were possible hostages inside.
Siblings, a 15 year old girl and 13 year old boy, were inside the home. The boy exited with the first suspect who officials say appeared to be a relative.
That suspect was immediately detained and turned himself in. The girl was then removed from the home after breaking a window and taken to safety.
Union County SRT found the second man hiding in the ceiling and was able to arrest him after the use of tear gas around 5 a.m. Tuesday.
The two men are in custody at the Union County Jail.
SWAT negotiators, Union County Sheriff’s Office, and Stallings police assisted on the scene.
No one was injured in the standoff. No word on the motive of the suspects.
