LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Clippers trailed by 22 in the first quarter and were down by 16 with about nine minutes left before pulling out a 101-99 win against Oklahoma City, tying the Western Conference semifinal series at two games apiece. Darren Collison scored 10 of his 18 points in the final 4 1/2 minutes, including back-to-back layups that put the Clippers ahead 101-97 with 33 seconds to play. Blake Griffin scored 10 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter and finished with nine rebounds.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Indiana Pacers outscored the Wizards 57-37 in the second half of a 95-92 victory in Washington to take a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Paul George had a huge night for Indiana, shooting 7-for-10 from 3-point range and finishing with 39 points and 12 rebounds. Roy Hibbert had another strong game with 17 points and nine rebounds, while David West chipped in 14 points and eight assists.
CHICAGO (AP) — Jonathan Toews (tayvz) scored the tiebreaking goal early in the third period as the Chicago Blackhawks held off Minnesota 2-1 to take a three-games-to-two lead in the Western Conference semifinals. The Hawks trailed until Bryan Bickell (BIK’-ul) scored midway through the second period. Corey Crawford handled 27 shots and was perfect after Erik Haula scored late in the opening stanza.
NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Rangers have forced a Game 7 in their Eastern Conference semifinal series by downing the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-1. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 36 shots and blanked the Penguins after Brandon Sutter scored late in the first period to make it 2-1. Before that Martin St. Louis (mahr-TAN’ san loo-EE’) and Carl Hagelin (HAG’-lihn) tallied 2:51 apart to put the Rangers ahead to stay.
PONTA VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Martin Kaymer (KY’-mur) made a 30-foot par putt on the 17th hole and held on to win The Players Championship by one shot over Jim Furyk (FYOOR’-ihk). Kaymer closed with a 1-under 71 for a 13-under total. The 29-year-old German had a three-shot lead on Furyk with five holes to play before a 90-minute rain delay.
