LANCASTER, SC — A love triangle murder plot was stopped by the fast work of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office. Β It all unraveled after deputies got a tip Sunday.
Deputies quickly found 19-year-old Joseph Hegler and pulled him over. Β They say he was wearing rubber gloves and had duct tape, handcuffs, a skinning knife set, a change of clothes, trash bags, bleach, gasoline, and an ax. Β
He’s accused of plotting to kidnap and kill an unidentified man over his relationship with an unidentified woman. Β Hegler is in jail awaiting a bond hearing.
