Β CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Disabled veteran Scott Burns created a chariable endeavor called 7 Days for the Troops. Β He started the event in 2006 in Mississippi with the intention of raising money to help support disabled vets improve their housing situations through the Purple Heart Homes.
Β Β Β This year he upped the ante and will be sit in the Honor Tower for seven days at Charlotte Motor Speedway during Speed Week. Β With the goal of raising $75 – 125,000, he will definitely be right in the middle of all the activities.
Β Β Β I spoke with him a bit about why he took on this project and what he hopes to accomplish this year and beyond.
