SAN ANTONIO (AP) — The Spurs and Thunder start play in the NBA’s Western Conference final tonight in San Antonio. The Thunder dominated play between the two teams during the season, winning all four games they played.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Pacers won the opening game of the NBA’s Eastern Conference final yesterday, beating the Miami Heat 107-96. Paul George led the attack for the Pacers with 24 points, including nine from three 3-pointers. Game 2 is in Indianapolis tomorrow night.

MONTREAL (AP) — The second game of the NHL’s Eastern Conference final between the Canadiens and Rangers is tonight in Montreal. The visiting New Yorkers had a laugher in Game 1, winning 7-2. Following tonight’s game the third contest will be in New York Thursday night.

CHICAGO (AP) — The defending Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks won the first game of the NHL’s Western Conference final yesterday, beating the Kings 3-1. Duncan Keith snapped a 1-1 tie midway through the second period before Jonathan Toews (tayvz) added an insurance goal with 3:50 remaining.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — When the Indianapolis 500 takes place later this month, Ed Carpenter will start from the pole. That’s nothing new for the Indianapolis native as he was the pole sitter last year. James Hinchcliffe was the second fastest qualifier yesterday.
