Five Arrested After Meth Lab Discovered In Lancaster Woods

Β LANCASTER, S.C. — Five people were arrested after a Meth Lab was discovered in in the woods near Starcliff Circle Tuesday.

Tony Minihane, 24, Nicole Edwards, 23, Trevor Griffin, 22, Kristopher Rumsey, 31 and Joshua Boyd, 21, were charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine production waste.

The lab was found after Drug Task Force agents heard about a suspicious purchase of pseudoephedrine which is a prescursor of methamphetamine.

Investigators conducted a traffic stop on Starcliff Circle and found methamphetamine in a mason jar, which led them to the lab.Β 

The lab was removed by a hazardous materials clean-up crew.Β 

In a release sent to WCCB by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Ofiice, Sheriff Faile said, β€œI am thankful for the hard work of our drug task force agents. We have seen an increase in methamphetamine activity lately and we are glad to get people who are cooking the drug off the streets.”

The suspects are awaiting bond at the Lancaster County Detention Center.Β
