ORANGE COUNTY, CA – Ninteen year old beauty Queen Cassiday Wolf is accustomed to being front and center on the stage, but not as a victim of cyber snooping.  A notification from her Facebook account alerted her to the hacker.  She then received an email from the hacker stating what he was doing to her, gave her 3 options then attached 2 nude photos of her that he had taken of her in her bedroom through her webcam.

The hacker was Jarad Abrahams who had been a fellow high school student and was a college freshman majoring in computer science.  According to FBI records, Wolf was not his only victim.  Abrahams was accused of hacking into as many as 150 computers, taking nude photos of women in order to blackmail them.  Wolf was among 9 known victims in his sextortion scheme.

FBI officials say that Abrahams gained access to Wolf’s private space by entering her computer through a backdoor using software better known as “creepware.”   Over the past week more than 100 people have been arrested in a worldwide crackdown on the creators, sellers and users of this malicious software called Blackshades, a remote access tool used to break into Wolf’s computer.  Hackers can pay as little as $40 for the software.
