The Bulldogs jumped on top 4-0 by the end of the fourth inning and then piled on eight more runs in the top of the seventh.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) β Brandon Gold hit a two-run single in the eighth inning to help Georgia Tech rally past top-seeded Miami 6-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament. The Yellow Jackets had to beat Wake Forest in Tuesday’s elimination round to reach pool play and trailed 3-1 against the Hurricanes on Wednesday. But they scored two runs in the seventh to tie it, then added an insurance run in the ninth.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) β A malfunctioning sprinkler system flooded the infield at the site of the Big South Conference baseball tournament and has resulted in a schedule change. The malfunctioning system at The Winthrop Ballpark flooded the infield overnight. Officials decided the field was still too wet to play a Wednesday game.
