LINCOLNTON, NC — An antenna could be the key to a deadly hit and run investigation in Lincoln County. Β A child found a broken antenna in the yard where 53-year-old Sherry Kittle was killed Wednesday night in Lincolnton. Β Investigators say it came from a 2001 to 2006 Chevy Tahoe, Silverado, or a suburban. Β

Investigators say Kittle’s wounds match the evidence. Β “It matches, just like a puzzle piece, this antenna,” said NC Highway Patrol Officer Kelly Stewart. Β “She had specific markings on her body that were made from this antenna, and we were able to match that just like a puzzle piece.”

Kittle’s son tells WCCB his mother’s car broke down three months ago. Β Since then, she had been walking to run errands. Β

If you know anything that can help investigators find the driver, call the North Carolina Highway Patrol at 828-466-5500.
