Β GASTONIA, N.C. — A house fire broke out just before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at 312 Hollifield Dr.Β
Smoke was coming from behind the one story home when Firefighters arrived.
Firefighters entered the home and concluded that the fire was caused by occupants cooking on the stove. The fire also spread to the walls and ceiling of the home and the home did not have working smoke detectors.Β
The fire was under control and extinguished by firefighters in 10 minutes.
No injuries were reported. $40,000 worth of damage was caused by the fire
