
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested two men after they tried to rob someone in North Charlotte.
The victim called police early Monday and said he was walking home on North Tryon Street from a friend’s house when he was approached by two suspects who demanded money. One of the suspects is accused of threatening the victim with a knife.
The victim ran away and flagged down a vehicle for help. The driver of the vehicle and the victim followed the suspects and gave a detailed description of them to officers.
Police arrested Ernest Dorsett and Jason Currington a short time later on North Tryon Street and Arrowhead Drive. Both suspects have been charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.
