York County Man Shoots At Neighbor’s Home After Dog Killed

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — Kenny Lynn is charged with four counts of attempted murder and four counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime after shooting at his neighbors home multiple times.

John Joseph Meredith Jr., victim of the shooting at 4108 Walnut St in Smyrna, S.C., claimed Lynn fired shots into his home and he saw his car pull away from his home after the shots were fired.Β 

Meredith was told by a friend that Lynn had been drinking and believed that someone at Meredith’s home killed his dog.Β 

Lynn denied the allegations when being questioned by police and admitted to having a warrant in New Jersey for almost 30 years. Lynn also was not allowed to possess fire arms or ammunition and said that he had removed them from his home.Β

Deputies were able to locate ammunition shells and evidence of the shooting. Lynn was charged and taken to MJC to be jailed.Β
