CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Beekeepers and activists want their voices to be heard ahead of Lowe’s Annual Sharehold Meeting. They are pushing for the company to stop the sales of pesticides toxic to bees.

Third-generation beekeeper John Caudle, of Herbs Honey, explains that the honey from bees is used in more than just foods – it also has health benefits and is used as a key ingredient in medicine.

If you must use insecticides on your plants, Caudle says spray them lightly in the early morning or late evening so the bees do not mistake it for water droplets.
