CONCORD, NC — Local hospital workers handled a very unusual patient Thursday: a deer! It happened Thursday morning at CMC Northeast.
The deer got into the hospital through a door at the loading dock after jumping over a hedge and landing on a car. It broke the windshield of the car and dented the hood.
Hospital workers corralled the deer in a storage room until Animal Control arrived. They tranquilized the deer and removed it from the hospital.
