Β CHARLOTTE, NC —Β A vulgar Twitter account that insulted hundreds of Charlotte-Mecklenburg students by name has been shut down. Β “@704schools” had more than 1,800 followers and sent out nearly 400 tweets. Β
The official CMS Twitter account even replied to one, apparently not understanding the nature of the account. Β We’re waiting for answers about why that happened. Β The district says it asked Twitter to remove the account. Β CMS tells us it is investigating.
