Β CHERAW, S.C. — A 14-year-old boy died after attempting to cross McMillan Road in a four wheeler around 5:30 p.m. Friday.Β
Johnny Strickland, 63, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Truck eastbound on McMillan Road when the teen on the 2004 Honda Recon was driving eastbound on the shoulder of McMillan Road.
The teen tried to cross the road and was hit by Strickland. Strickland was wearing his seat belt and was not injured. The teenager was pronounced dead and wasn’t wearing a helmet.Β
The accident is still under investigation by Highway Patrol.Β
