CMPD Animal Care and Control Mega Adoption Event

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD Animal Care and Control  had a notable turn out in their “Sliding Into Home Mega-Adoption Event,” Saturday.

Their goal was to find loving homes for 100 animals and to save more lives. They were able to find those homes for 85 animals. 37 cats, 45 dogs and one rabbit were adopted Saturday.

CMPD Animal Care and Control is continuing the event on Sunday, hoping to “Save 100 Animals in Two Days.”

The event is at the Animal Care and Control shelter at 8315 Byrum Drive.

The event starts at 9 a.m. and visitors can enjoy food trucks, activities, radio remotes, pet-related vendors, live music and a special visit from Charlotte Knight’s mascot Homer.
