Β STATESVILLE, N.C. — Dysheem Hart, 20 and Rayshawn Ivory, 18 were arrested after shooting at two people, one 13, just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Hart and Ivory were charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharging a firearm inside the city limits.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of Church Street where they found a 13 year old and a man who had been hit with shotgun pellets. The injuries were minor and appeared as welts.
According to officers, the two suspects fired the shotgun from the backyard of a home on Woodruff Street. Officers observed yelling from the house and set up a perimeter.Β
Hart and Ivory went running off and police began evacuating nearby homes.Β
Hart and Ivory were caught and taken into custody. They are being held at the Iredell County Detention Center under $25,000 secured bonds.
The shotgun was seized during the investigation.
