SAN DIEGO, CA — A Charlotte woman is proving age is just a number.  Ninety-one-year-old Harriette Thompson ran her way into the record books on Sunday.

She completed the Rock and Roll San Diego marathon in just over seven hours.  It’s the fastest time ever for a woman older than 90.

Thompson is a cancer survivor.  She started running marathons at age 76 to raise money for cancer research.
