CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Ahead of former UNC Chapel Hill football player, Kenan Gay, taking the stand in his own defense – local attorney Brad Smith shares how the defendant’s testimony could sway the jury.

Smith, of Arnold & Smith, PLLC, says Gay now has a chance to tell the jury how he didn’t intend for the victim – Robert Kingston – to die during their fight.

Smith says a lesser charge could be issued.
