FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — The TV show “Graceland” is set in Los Angeles, but is actually filmed in the Fort Lauderdale area.
That’s a reversal from the common practice of shows such as “CSI: Miami” and “Dexter,” which are set in South Florida but filmed in California.
“Graceland” is back for its second season on the USA Network starting Wednesday. It follows a group of six undercover agents from various federal law enforcement agencies living in a confiscated Southern California beach house known as Graceland.
South Florida’s tropical climate isn’t a perfect match of Southern California’s Mediterranean climate. And while both have palm trees, Los Angeles has nearby mountains. South Florida is flat.
