CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Former Mayor Patrick Cannon has broken his social media silence since he pleaded guilty to a felony corruption charge.
Cannon has posted a selfie on Facebook with no caption.
The slightly blurry picture shows Cannon smiling and sitting on a couch.
So far, there are more than 500 likes and nearly 200 comments. All comments seem to have words of support for Cannon.
Cannon faces up to 20 years behind bars with a $250,000 fine. He is yet to be sentenced.
