CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Bianca Tanner hasn’t been seen since early Sunday morning. Β Her boyfriend, Angelo Smith, reported her missing to CMPD just after 12:30 pm. Β The couple lives in an apartment on Druid Circle in north Charlotte. Β No one was home when we knocked on the door Tuesday afternoon.Β

A friend of Tanner’s spoke to WCCB on the condition of anonymity. Β The friend says, “Supposedly her and the boyfriend had a disagreement.” Β And, “Yes, he’s been known to be very possessive, jealous of her and, a lot of people, like, his friends from college, have given bad reviews of him.”Β
Β
31-year-old Tanner apparently walked away from the apartment with her cell phone and a debit card. She has a three-year-old with an ex-husband who lives out of town. Β WCCB spoke to the ex. When we asked him if he believed Tanner was in danger, he said he’d have to call us back. Β CMPD declines to confirm whether it believes Tanner is in danger.Β
Β
Her neighbors want answers. Β Deborah Marvle tells WCCB, “If she’s missing, I just wish someone would find her so we can get to the bottom (of it). I don’t want a killer roaming my neighborhood.”Β
Β
Tanner’s friends want herΒ back, and have this message for her: “Just come home. We love you, you know, reach out to anybody that you can. Β All of her friends, everybody’s here for her support.”Β
Β
Tanner was a second grade teacher in Greensboro. Β She moved here for a job with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Β CMS confirms she was an applicant. Β Call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 if you can help find Bianca Tanner.
