SPENCER, N.C. — Police are searching for a man after a woman was found dead in Spencer. Police say they found a woman’s body in a yard on 4th Street around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Investigators have identified the deceased female as Toney Ann Johnson. Detectives are actively searching for the victim’s boyfriend, 47-year-old Rodney Wallace. They say he could be driving a 1998 Black Mazda Protege with NC tag CBD-5377. The truck Wallace was originally driving has been recovered.
Anyone with information on Wallace’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately. Detectives say Wallace is a convicted felon and may be armed.
