SALISBURY, N.C. — A Salisbury woman has been arrested for tattooing her 12-year-old daughter. Β Police say Anna Yates put a heart shape design on her daughter’s upper arm. Β
Yates said she thinks her rights are being taken away because she is the one who consented for her daughter to get the tattoo and she actually did the tattoo. Β
The tattoo was discovered by a DSS worker while Yates and the child were in their office. Β Yates is facing one misdemeanor count of tattooing a person under 18.
