ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Police need help identifying a person who is accused of making a threat to shoot people at a Rowan County school.
Authorities say the suspect called Morgan Elementary School on Wednesday and said he would shoot people inside the school.
The school immediately went into lock-down and police were notified. Several other schools in the area were also placed on lock-down.
Police determined there was no active threat at the schools. Investigators say the call came from a pay phone at a business on Jake Alexander Boulevard and Mooresville Road.
Security footage shows a small white SUV parked near the phone at the time the call was placed. Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to call 911.
